I led the development of a banking application aimed at unbanked users in the U.S. and Latin America, overseeing a team of seven employees. In collaboration with Univision product managers, I played a key role in developing style guides, as well as both low- and high-fidelity prototypes for the application. The primary challenge was designing user pathways that were both intuitive and effective while ensuring cohesion with Univision’s established design language, all while addressing the unique needs of users seeking simple and secure methods to send and receive money.
Discussions were held to extract requirements from the Univision Product Managers daily based on user research and demographic testing.
I worked with the design team to develop modular, reusable building blocks that form the foundation of a user interface, such as buttons, input fields, navigation bars, and cards. These elements are designed to be consistent in style and function, enhancing usability and visual harmony across an application. Defined in UI reference files or component libraries, they included variations for states like active or disabled, ensuring flexibility. By leveraging tools like React or Vue, developers can efficiently implement these components, saving time and maintaining coherence throughout the design system.
The development of wireframes is crucial to create an efficient pathway to the finished product. I distilled requirements and leveraged the ideas of both stakeholders and product managers to this end.
The development of prototypes was facilitated after iterative wireframing designs.
